  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark each, no negative marking

  • Subjects Covered: 19 major law subjects including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, IPR, Family Law, and more.

This means you just need to focus on conceptual clarity, as even one mark lost won’t pull you down.

🎯 Eligibility for AIBE 20

  • You must have completed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a BCI-recognized institute.

  • Final year students can also apply, provided they don’t have any backlogs.

  • No age limit is prescribed.

  • Enrollment with a State Bar Council is not mandatory for appearing in the exam (but needed later for CoP).

✅ Passing Criteria

  • General / OBC: 45% marks required

  • SC / ST / PwD: 40% marks required

Once you pass, you’ll receive the Certificate of Practice (CoP), which officially allows you to practice law anywhere in India.

📚 How to Prepare for AIBE 20

  1. Go through the 19 subjects mentioned in the syllabus.

  2. Practice previous year papers to understand the type of questions.

  3. Focus on bare acts – most of the questions are direct.

  4. Revise regularly instead of cramming at the last moment.

✨ Why AIBE is Important?

Many law graduates think AIBE is just another exam, but in reality, it’s the final gateway to enter the legal profession. Without passing it, you can’t officially represent clients in court. So, treat it seriously and prepare with dedication.

💡 Final Tip: Register as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical glitches, and keep checking the official BCI website for updates.
